When we started Tekdi back in 2006, we had this simple belief: work should be about pursuing what matters most to you. And for us founders—and many of our team members who've joined us along this journey—one of those deep passions has always been the mountains.

Whether we're navigating the Sahyadris that surround our Pune home base, trekking through the Himalayas, or exploring trails all over the world, hiking has been more than recreation for us. It's been transformational. There's something about being deeply immersed in nature, one foot in front of the other on challenging terrain, where our best ideas crystallize, our strongest bonds form, and our clearest reflections emerge.

The more we've reflected on our journey over these past eighteen years, the more we've realized that building Tekdi mirrors the experience of being on a meaningful trek. We've been navigating up challenging mountains of complex problems in education technology, venturing into uncharted territories of civic engagement platforms, and climbing peaks of innovation that seemed impossible when we first looked up at them.

Rechristening Our Expedition Journal

Looking back at all the insights, frameworks, and stories we've shared over the years through our blog, we realized something: we've essentially been keeping an expedition journal all along. Each post has been a waypoint, marking moments of discovery, reflection, and learning from our ongoing journey of building technology solutions that create societal transformation.

Today, we're rechristening our blog as "The Tekdi Trail"—giving our ongoing documentation the identity it deserves as the expedition journal for the journey we're co-creating with our team, partners, customers, and the broader ecosystem we're all building together.

All those frameworks we've shared, processes we've documented, lessons we've learned from both successes and stumbles? They've been trail markers all along, helping fellow travelers navigate similar terrain. When we say we Build for Most, Not for Few, we've been essentially creating well-marked trails so more people can find their way safely toward the summits that matter.

The Territory We've Been Exploring

Like the multiple triangles in our logo that represent our diverse capabilities unified by focused vision, The Tekdi Trail celebrates the multifaceted nature of our expedition. If you look back through our previous posts, you'll see we've been documenting stories from across our spectrum of impact: educational platforms transforming how learning happens, government solutions enhancing how citizens and institutions connect, and enterprise innovations driving meaningful business transformation.

The Tekdi Logo

Each represents a different type of summit we've reached in our mission to catalyze societal change through technology.

Our content has also honored our gatimanata—our speed and agility in responding to evolving terrain. Just as mountain conditions shift rapidly and require adaptive navigation, technology landscapes demand that our path remain dynamic while staying true to our core values. Gatimanata, which means speed in Sanskrit, reflects one of the key aspects our logo represents: our ability to move quickly and responsively while maintaining our direction and purpose.

What Hasn't Changed: Building in the Open

What you've experienced in our previous content—and what will continue—isn't just polished case studies or sanitized success stories. We've been practicing building in the open all along, sharing the real-time process of creation, including the moments when we're not sure which path to take next, when we discover our initial approach needs adjustment, or when we realize that the best solution requires bringing in perspectives we hadn't originally considered.

This approach has always embodied what we call the Magic of Creation—that fulfilling experience of building something new and meaningful, not in isolation, but as part of a collaborative ecosystem where everyone's contribution makes the whole stronger.

Building in the Open

Whether you've been following our insights on innovations, learning from our workshops and community events, or understanding how Product First, Sustainable Open Source development creates lasting value, our content has been serving as both expedition journal and compass for navigating technology's role in transformation.

Continuing Our Shared Journey

As we move forward with this new identity, The Tekdi Trail continues to welcome fellow travelers—the developers, innovators, policy makers, educators, and change agents who share our vision of technology as a force for good. Our blog remains a shared expedition log, marking not just where we've trekked, but illuminating possible routes forward for anyone committed to building solutions that matter.

Because here's what we've learned after nearly two decades of this work: the most meaningful innovations don't emerge from individual brilliance operating in isolation. They come from collaborative expeditions where different perspectives, skills, and experiences combine to navigate terrain that no single person could cross alone.

The Journey Continues with New Clarity

Every insight we've shared, every challenge we've overcome, and every summit we've celebrated has contributed to a larger narrative of transformation—one where technology serves humanity's highest aspirations, and where every step forward on our shared journey creates new possibilities for those who follow.

As we continue on this trail with renewed clarity about what our journey represents, we invite you to keep walking with us. Whether you're a longtime reader who's been with us through multiple waypoints or you're just discovering our path, there's a place for you here. Because the best part about any meaningful journey isn't reaching the destination—it's who you become, and who you help others become, along the way.

The trail behind us is rich with learnings. The path ahead is full of possibility. Let's continue exploring it together.

Welcome to The Tekdi Trail—our expedition journal, now with the identity it always deserved. The journey continues, one waypoint at a time.
